Moreland Corridor Implementation Task Force

Hi folks,

I wanted to let you know that the Moreland Corridor Implementation Task Force is ready to show our nearly one year’s work on the Moreland Corridor plan next week.  I have been working closely with John Yang at the City and the joint DOT/COA Fast Forward Team on aspects of this project.  John Yang has advised us that we need to involve Keith Golden in our process now that Ken Montgomery is no longer working on this project at DOT.  I know Keith from our work on the Moreland/Freedom Park crosswalk plan that the DOT executed in conjunction with Freedom Park Conservancy.  John will be contacting Keith and inviting him to our presentation.

Also – Don Bender is working with Natalyn, Kwanza, and Anne  on setting up a 1^st anniversary meeting with the full Moreland Task Force some time after our meeting with the Fast Forward Team (or sooner as needed).  In addition, I have spoken with Sandy Jennings about the QOL funds that are nearly ready and we need to meet with our Councilmembers and her to discuss our thoughts about those funds.  Finally, I recently met Steve Cover and he is aware of our progress and we hope to have an informal meeting with him soon as well.
